Your old and unused video games, electronics, books, and car seats can be exchanged for gift cards and coupons, as retailers offer trade-in programs. GOBankingRates listed the following retailers that offer a trade-in program.

Amazon

You may get the highest reward if your electronics are still in good condition; otherwise, you may qualify for a gift card if you trade a non-functional device. The Amazon Trade-In program accepts old electronics and devices, including tablets, streaming media players, home security devices, wireless routers, Kindle e-readers, cell phones, Bluetooth speakers and headphones, and gaming systems.

Apple

You may be able to get up to $790 when trading in the iPhone 12 Pro Max. If your device is eligible, you may get a credit that can be used for the next purchase or get an Apple gift card. Eligible devices include Androids, iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, and other Apple devices.

Best Buy

Best Buy Trade-In program accepts many devices, including cell phones, e-readers, smart watches, tablets, cameras, video games, TVs, and more. You can visit their website and input the details, such as its specs and conditions, to receive an e-gift card depending on the value of your item. You can take your trade-in item via mail or a Best Buy store.

GameStop

The retailer accepts tablets, wearables, headphones, smartphones, consoles, video games, and controllers. GameStop offers the option of trading for cash or in-store credit. PowerUp Rewards Pro members can also get 10% extra in value.

Target

Target usually held Car Seat Trade-In Events, usually a two-week event. During the program, the retailer stores accept and recycle all types of car seats, including convertible seats, car seat bases and harnesses, infant seats, and booster seats – regardless of their condition. You’ll get a coupon for 20% off a new car seat, travel system, car seat base, stroller, or selected baby home gear.

Walmart

Walmart’s trade-in program accepts tablets, cell phones, game consoles, laptops, voice speakers, and wearables. You can visit their website and answer a few questions. Then, you can send your item via FedEx and receive an e-gift card once the device is evaluated.
