Kari Lake, a candidate for governor of Arizona, will have her day in court after a judge in the state’s Maricopa County approved some of the procedures in her election complaint to continue.
The Republican had filed two counts in a lawsuit challenging the outcome of her election this month, but Judge Peter Thompson dismissed the majority of her claims on Monday.

The first count claims that problems with ballot-on-demand (BOD) printers on election day were not certified, whereas the second count claims, the County Election Manual was broken about the custody chain of the ballots. Both counts connect to accusations of ballot printer errors.
While giving Lake the chance to present her side in court, Thompson avoided commenting on the validity of the accusations. According to Lake’s lawsuit, thousands of votes were cast unlawfully in Maricopa County, and she is requesting that the results be canceled. The lawsuit demands either a new election or the winner to be declared as Lake.
