CDCR- California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Captures Incarcerated Man- Who escaped from Delta Conservation Camp

Agents from the Special Service Unit of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) captured Raul Mejia on 3 December. On 1st December, Mejia ordered CDCR Mejia to leave the Delta Conservation Camp in Solano County.

At around 5:45 P.M. on Saturday, Mejia, 22, was located in Los Angeles County by CDCR special agents and was taken into custody without difficulty. He was taken to the California Institution for Men, where a district attorney will review the possibility of filing charges for escape. Mejia won’t even be permitted to take part in the fire camp program.

Mejia was taken into custody from Los Angeles County on 2 August 2022 and given a sentence of 7 years, and 8 months for shooting a gun into an occupied building, car, or airplane, stalking and attempting to stop or prevent a witness from testifying.

Since 1977, 99% of all criminals who evaded authorization to leave an adult facility, camp, or community-based program have been caught.

Mejia is 186 pounds and stands 5 feet 9 inches tall. He has brown eyes and black hair, and his most recent outfit consisted of a white t-shirt and gray sweatpants.

Anyone who ever witnesses Mejia, or is aware of his whereabouts and belongings, should immediately contact the given CDCR staff; Camp Commander Sidney Turner at (707) 425-4878 or call Law Enforcement at 911. It will help the officials to get at him ASAP, a little contribution goes a long way.
