The 38th Assembly District race between Assemblymember Dante Acosta (R-Santa Clarita) and Christy Smith is still too close to call, and the latest ballot counts have the Democratic challenger behind Acosta by only 0.16 percent of the vote.

About 180 local residents and activists gathered in front of Santa Clarita City Hall at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8 to call for accountability from the Trump administration following the removal of Jeff Sessions as attorney general.
