On January 14, the last of the Middle-Classss Tax Refund payments will finally be issued, which is the final cut-off for the program.
The Franchise Tax Board of California said that it is expected of about 90 percent of direct deposits to be issued in October and roughly 95 percent of all MCTR payments direct deposit and debit cards by the end of the year 2022.

According to the Franchise Tax Board on Dec. 9, around more than 25.7 million taxpayers of California and their dependents have benefited. The state has already issued more than 6.9 million direct deposit payments and 6.8 million debit cards worth more than $7.5 billion.
