Alyn Carroll’s feelings nearly overcame her when she learned that her Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) would shortly be drastically reduced.
Carroll, 56, stated to ABC News, “I wanted to cry. “I wanted to cry since I had just begun to feel secure enough to set aside a fixed amount of money each week for spending, and I was doing fine. But are they now rejecting that? What is a person to do, sort of?”
Carroll, a resident of Baltimore, has utilized SNAP for about 7 years and claims that as a diabetic, it is an essential aspect of her grocery bill. Yet, the COVID-19 pandemic’s leftover SNAP emergency allocations are scheduled to expire.
