How Did the Search for the Missing 5-Year-Old Girl Start?

The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office performed a welfare check at the residence where Aspen resided with her mother, Crystal Jumper, who had not been heard from since Nov. 1. When deputies arrived, they discovered Jumper dead and Aspen missing.

Ravenell stated that Aspen and Antar were going in a blue Mazda that Antar reportedly stole from Jumper’s house when the hunt for them began. When he was captured, he was still driving the Mazda. Jumper died from a gunshot wound to her upper torso, according to Ravenell, and she was in an “advanced state of decay” when deputies found her, according to a news source.
