Any Trump prosecution, according to Mike Pence, is “not what the American citizens want to see”

An accusation of Donald Trump was rejected by former vice president Mike Pence, who defined any potential legal action as “politically sensitive” and “not the thing that the American citizens wish to see.”

In a recorded interview with ABC’s Jon Karl on Saturday, Pence supported any nonviolent protesters that might occur at Trump’s request after the former president encouraged his supporters to “take our country back,” even while dismissing the disgraceful violence that the nation saw at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The American people’s dissatisfaction with what they consider a two-tiered judicial system in this nation, Pence continued, is well-founded. “The American citizens have a constitutional right to gather freely,” he stated. But I think that everyone is aware that if they speak out about this if anything happens on Tuesday, they must do so calmly and legally.

Pence’s words highlight his efforts to maintain a delicate balance between criticizing and supporting his former employer in the face of growing rumors that he may run for the GOP presidential nomination. In his most harsh remarks about Trump’s involvement in the assault, the former vice president just issued last week at the annual Gridiron Club dinner in Washington, DC.
