After BBL Surgery, A 26-Year-Old Mother of Two Passed Away

To have a breast augmentation and a Brazilian butt lift, 26-year-old Jaynisha “Jayla” Williams and her mom Latoshia Leggett went to the Best U Now cosmetic surgery facility in Plantation, Florida in October. According to her mother, Wiliams passed out during the procedure.

Leggett claims that she traveled from California to watch her daughter’s treatment and waited in the hospital’s lobby while medical professionals treated Williams. “How is my daughter doing? I kept asking her every hour. How is everything going?’ and they kept saying, “She is well.” It’s all right,'” the heartbroken mother recalled. Other patients left as time passed on, but Williams never did. A little while later, an ambulance with loud sirens pulled up.

“The ambulance arrived. I then asked, “Excuse me, can someone explain what’s happening? Leggett addressed the news station. Staff from the Best U Now cosmetic surgery clinic broke the heartbreaking news as Williams’ body was carried out of the building on a stretcher. She claimed, “They gently took me and said, ‘Your daughter has died.

Williams was put under anesthesia for the treatment, but according to a report from the Broward Medical Examiner’s Office, “Williams” never woke from it. Unknown factors were mentioned as the reason for her death. Since the tragedy, both the institution and Dr. John Edward Nees, the Best U Now certified doctor, have been the subject of administrative complaints from the Florida Health Department.

Williams was given the anesthesia she never recovered from by an OBGYN name Dr. Millicent Muir, according to later reports. Williams was drugged by a doctor who wasn’t licensed to provide anesthesia, according to the surgery center’s designated physician.

According to the victim’s relatives, no one from the surgery center has gotten in touch with them since their loss. The 26-year-old, two young children’s mom, who are 5 and 2, were left behind. “It’s tough. They ask if they can visit their mother in heaven. They don’t understand, Leggett said with tears during a conversation with NBC Miami 6.
