Leggett claims that she traveled from California to watch her daughter’s treatment and waited in the hospital’s lobby while medical professionals treated Williams. “How is my daughter doing? Staff from the Best U Now cosmetic surgery clinic broke the heartbreaking news as Williams’ body was carried out of the building on a stretcher. She claimed, “They gently took me and said, ‘Your daughter has died.
Williams was put under anesthesia for the treatment, but according to a report from the Broward Medical Examiner’s Office, “Williams” never woke from it. Unknown factors were mentioned as the reason for her death. Since the tragedy, both the institution and Dr. John Edward Nees, the Best U Now certified doctor, have been the subject of administrative complaints from the Florida Health Department.
Williams was given the anesthesia she never recovered from by an OBGYN name Dr. Millicent Muir, according to later reports. Williams was drugged by a doctor who wasn’t licensed to provide anesthesia, according to the surgery center’s designated physician.
