An 11-Year-Old Girl Was Abused and Tortured

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office reported that they responded to a home in the 3300 block of Lakeview Drive on Aug.30 before 2:00 a.m. The deputies found the 11-year-old girl named Arabella McCormack and was rushed to the nearby hospital after she succumbed to injuries.

The two younger sisters of the adopted 11-year-old girl were already removed from the same house where the victim was found. True Crime Daily reports, the Sheriff’s office said that the 11-year-old-girl body showed signs of child abuse.

It was found that the authorities tried to contact the adopted father of the 11-year-old girl, Brian McCormack who worked as a Customs and Border Protection agent. However, the Sheriff’s office said “he committed suicide in their presence,” when they talked to him.

The Adoptive Mother and Grandparents Were Arrested

The adoptive mother Leticia McCormack was arrested just a few months after the 11-year-old girl died on Nov.7. The Sheriff’s Office said that she was charged with murder, three counts of torture, and three counts of willful cruelty to a child.

Meanwhile, the adoptive grandparents or Leticia’s parents, Adella and Stanley Tom, were also arrested. Both of them are facing torture and willful cruelty to a child. Furthermore, the siblings of the 11-year-old girl were already placed with a foster family.
