A Bunch Of Migrants Arrived at Vice President’s Washington Residence In A Bus During Freezing Christmas Eve Temperatures

A report said that the migrants were dropped in front of Vice President Kamala Harris’s residence on Christmas Eve, and they were seen outside a bus.

On Christmas Eve, three bus vehicles of migrants arrived in front of the residence of Vice President Kamala Harris, the migrants were outside with a freezing temperature dropping.

CNN reported that several busloads at the Naval Observatory, the migrants were left in front of Vice President Harris’ home. The People who came on the first two buses were brought to local shelters. More arrivals were reportedly given blankets for comfort and were taken to a local church.

It was not cleared by the authorities who were responsible for sending the buses of migrants to Washington. They cited a statement from the White House blaming Abbott and a report from NBC News said that the around 140 people on the buses came from places in Texas.

The Assistant press secretary Abdullah Hasan said that Abbott abandoned children on the side of the road in below-freezing temperatures on Christmas Eve without coordinating with any Federal or local authorities. According to NBC, Hasan added and said that the incident was a cruel, dangerous, and shameful stunt.

Buses of Migrants Arrive at Vice President’s Washington Residence Amid Frigid Christmas Eve Temperatures

The second bus of migrants arrived in D.C. close to the home of VP Kamala Harris, A local ABC affiliate WJLA, at around 9:45 p.m. reporter Christian Flores posted on Twitter on Saturday. His tweet was with a video of people wearing clothes that clearly couldn’t stand to fight the frigid freezing weather, they were pulling what seemed to be plastic bags of their items from the undercarriage of a bus.

Flores posted on Twitter that at around 10:00 p.m. that same night, the migrant’s third and final bus of the night rode from Texas up to D.C arriving, with Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network and a toom them to a church. Some volunteers who had been given notice of the migrant’s arrivals were reported on site to welcome the migrants and provide help and support.

According to a published post by Law And Crime, Amy Fischer said that this is a welcome effort that they’ve been doing since the first bus arrived. On Saturday night Amy Fischer, an organizer with the Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network, also told WJLA that D.C. just continues to show up as a welcoming city that is always prepared and is willing to open anyone with its open arms to welcome people, whether it’s freezing cold or a big day they will be there to help.

Fischer told CNN that the buses were supposed to go to New York but were unfortunately diverted to Washington because of the frigid weather. CNN reported that the migrants contained asylum seekers from Ecuador, Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Peru, and Columbia. Abbott didn’t publicly acknowledge the migrant transport.

The governor posted and said wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas, on a Sunday morning the official Twitter account of the governor said may the joy of our Savior’s birth fill your hearts today and every day the governor also added a Bible verse to the post.

Post on Twitter, Abbott posted a similar post to his account less than 30 minutes later with the message saying may the hopeful promise of our Savior’s birth bring comfort & joy to you & your family. Merry Christmas, Texas.

Since April, the Republican Abbott has been placing migrants and asylum seekers arriving at the southern border on buses and sending them to cities including New York, Chicago, and Washington. Under his direction, two busloads carrying more than 100 migrants arrived at Harris’ residence in September.
