Workers protesting at Medieval Times in Buena Park, California, were nearly run over by a car during a demonstration on Thursday night

The protestors, who have been on strike for nearly two months, say they are fighting for improved working conditions and higher wages. The striking workers, who play roles such as queens and knights at the Medieval Times attraction, have accused the management of being “unbelievably aggressive” towards them during the strike.

One of the protestors who were present at the scene described the incident as “pretty frightening,” and video footage shows the car approaching the protestors while people are yelling. A woman who was recording the encounter was also shoved into the bushes with her phone in hand.

The suspect was later identified as a guest and was taken into custody

They attempted to contact Medieval Times and the Buena Park Police Department for comments but have not yet received a response. The incident highlights the ongoing dispute between the striking workers and the management of Medieval Times. Despite the strike, the attraction remains open to the public, with temporary workers filling the roles of the striking workers.

The workers say they are determined to continue their strike until their demands are met. “We’re going to fight until the end,” said striking worker Jake Bowman. “We just want them to understand that we’re human beings too, and we deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.”
