As she accompanied her husband on a speaking tour in Australia on Monday, Michelle Obama was captured on camera looking less than enthusiastic.
The former couple arrived in Sydney on a personal plane Sunday evening and had lunch at a luxury seafood restaurant Monday, according to The Daily Mail.
Just after the couple’s dinner at the Bathers’ Pavilion, which provides 6-course tasting meals with wine combos for $200, photographers captured Michelle, 59, having crossed her arms with a smirky expression on clear display. Barack Obama, 61, showed up to rejoice in working a crowd of honoring Australian spectators.
The Obamas were welcomed by US ambassador Caroline Kennedy, who worked as a diplomat in Japan during the Obama administration and allegedly met with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Monday.
Before giving a speech in Melbourne on Wednesday, the former president is scheduled to appear at a Sydney auditorium on Tuesday.
