Trump strikes out at inquiries after hearing he’ll face charges soon

After learning that he would probably soon face a criminal charge in the Manhattan hush-money case, former President Donald Trump attacked investigators.

According to four New York Times sources, there may be a charge soon in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s investigation into Trump’s payments of bribe money to Stormy Daniels, it was reported on Thursday.

In addition, investigations by the Justice Department’s Special Counsel Jack Smith into Trump’s dealing with sensitive data in violation of the Espionage Act and his actions in connection with the protest on January 6 in addition to a grand jury inquiry by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis into the former president’s attempt to set up the Georgia election are pending.

Trump criticized the news in a lengthy statement that he released Thursday night, claiming, over other things:

“I did nothing wrong; I didn’t see an affair with Stormy Daniels and could not have desired one.

A political witch-hunt is being conducted to unseat the candidate who is by far the front-runner in the Republican Party and who is also ahead of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris among Democrats in the polls.”
