Michelle Obama cried uncontrollably after Donald Trump’s inauguration, as per reports

Michelle Obama experienced intense emotions on the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration in January 2017 for several reasons, some of which may surprise you. The former first lady is discussing the emotional roller coaster she went on when saying farewell to their 8-year home with husband Barack Obama and kids Malia and Sasha.

The 59-year-old writer of The Light We Carry: Trying to overcome in Unclear Times revealed that she was “madly crying” as she said goodbye to “the workers and all the individuals who worked to raise” her daughters in a video from the March 7 premiere episode of Michelle Obama: The Light Podcast, as reported by People. There was “no reflection of the greater spirit of America,” the author noted, adding that the huge change in attendees at Donald Trump’s inauguration enhanced her sentiment.

She also made fun of Donald Trump’s popularity by pointing out the low turnout: “That there aren’t that several people there – we saw this, by the way!” She stated, “To be on that stage and witness the reverse as to everything we represented on the show — the absence of diversity, absence of color on that stage.” Her unstable mood on that particular day has frequently been noted, and Michelle has no trouble expressing her emotions. “No, I wasn’t happy at the time! But you had to maintain your calmness as you did for 8 years,” she continued.
