The Food and Drug Administration issues warning letters to organizations that belong under its jurisdiction as an aspect of its enforcement efforts. Several months or weeks after they are given, many letters are not made public until then. FDA warning letters must be replied to within 15 days by business owners. Sometimes, warning letters are not sent out until a corporation has had months or years to address issues.

The FDA detailed a May 9–27, 2022 examination of Gold Coast Distributors Inc.’s atmospheric and chilled warehousing and repacking plant in Stockton, California in a warning letter dated November 2, 2022.
The FDA issued an FDA Form 483 as a conclusion of the inspection, which found that the company had significant violations of the Current Good Manufacturing Practices, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation.
