List Of States That Exclude Residents From Paying Income Taxes

Alaska, Florida, Texas, South Dakota, Nevada, New Hampshire, Tennessee, Wyoming, and Washington are currently the only states that do not collect personal income taxes.

If you live in these state that does not have individual income taxes, you will not have to pay taxes on your wages or income from Social Security, pensions, or retirement plans like 401(k)s or individual retirement accounts (IRA). Taxpayers in these states, however, are still subject to other types of taxes, such as local taxes, property taxes, and sales taxes.
