$841 Social Security Income Is Already In Your Mail, Another $940 is Coming this December

The Social Security Administration that an amount of $841 has already been sent to the eligible and qualified recipients of Social Security Income.

2 Payments of Social Security Income this December

There will be two batches of Social Security Income that will be sent to the eligible recipients this month. The first batch amounting to $841 was already sent but if you did not yet receive your SSI, just patiently wait because it will be sent by the SSA.

Moreover, the second batch of payments amounting to $940 will be sent on Dec. 30. The second SSI payment has increased compared to the first batch of COLA. The second payment is supposed to be given on Jan. 1 but since it is Sunday so it will be given on Dec.30, the closest working day.

In a published article in The U.S. Sun, the Social Security Income is a governmental program for needy persons aged 65 or older, blind or disabled adults, and blind or disabled children. Eligibility requirements and federal payment standards are the same

States that Issue Supplemental Payments

Some states recognize that the Social Security Income is not enough, this is why they are issuing supplemental payments. Social Security pays some of the state supplement payments, while the state pays the rest in the following states:

  • Nevada
  • New Jersey
  • Pennsylvania
  • Rhode Island
  • Vermont
  • Washington, DC

Meanwhile, states offer direct supplemental payments, without help from the federal government:
