$800 Direct Payment Will Be Sent to Americans this March, Here’s the Deadline of Application

Millions of Americans are about to receive a direct payment amounting to $800 this March but they need to make sure to hit the deadline for application.

The distribution of direct payments for some states continues and millions of Americans in one state are about to receive $800 in direct payments. South Carolina budgeted roughly $1 billion, according to a recently published article in The U.S. Sun.

The state’s Department of Revenue that the amount of $1 billion will be allotted to eligible taxpayers. The first deadline was on October 17, 2022 to file their 2021 state Individual Income Tax Return. But, it is not yet too late to get $800 in direct payment.

Deadline of Application

Taxpayers in South Carolina still have the chance to claim $800 if they missed filing their 2021 tax. They have until Feb.15, 2023 to file their 2021 tax return.

Meanwhile, those who filed their tax return in October received already their $800 in direct payments on Dec.31, 2022. Additionally, those who filed after the October 17 deadline received their direct payments later. The second round of the payment will continue to go out until Feb.15.

Who Are Eligible?

Residents in South Carolina if they will file their 2021 Income tax Return on or before Feb.15 and must qualify in the following requirements:

  • You have an individual income tax liability for tax year 2021.
  • You are a South Carolina resident, part-year resident or nonresident.
  • Rebates are based on your 2021 tax liability, up to a cap.
  • The rebate cap which is the maximum rebate amount a taxpayer can receive is $800.
