El Monte Residents Have Only A Few Hours Left to Claim Their $500 Monthly Direct Payments
There are 125 households that will be selected randomly and notified through mail informing them that they will be receiving $500 direct payments for one year.
The application started last March 27, 2023, but was announced close on April 15, 2023. Only those who meet the criteria would receive the amount that was being budgeted by the El Monte government.
Who Met the Qualifications
Aside from being an El Monte City resident, it is also required that you must be a single female head of the household. That means you must have no partner or husband living with you.
You also must have children living with you between the ages of 0 – 17 to qualify for the said program. You must earn less than the federal poverty line and you must show a need for financial help due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently, the federal poverty line income is set at $19,720 for a family of two.
