California recently passed two guaranteed income programs, one in El Monte and the other in Sacramento. The payments for both programs are intended for families who have low income and help them afford their “basic needs” such as food and utilities, despite the inflation that is happening in the state.

$500 Monthly Direct Payment Is Up For El Monte California Residents
There are just hours left to apply for a program offering in El Monte, California with $500 monthly payments. The payment will help families with low income to afford their basic needs, such as food and utilities, despite the inflation that is happening around the state of El Monte.
The deadline for the application is the end of the day. The residents who are eligible to receive the payment can apply in person, online, or by mail by printing out an online form.
To be eligible for the program, you must be a legit city of El Monte resident and be a single woman with no spouse or partner living with you.
You also need to have a child living with you that is younger than 18 years old. The income for the household must be below the federal poverty level for this year, which is $30,000 for a family with 4 members.
Additionally, you’ll need to have documents that will support your income, identification, school enrollment, residency, and a document that shows that you need financial assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic.
There will be 80 applicants who can avail of this program, and the first payment will take place on July 1, 2023. To qualify you must meet strict income requirements.
It is also required that all the single adults must make less than $28,205, and that number grows depending on the size of the household that they are in.
The following are the qualifications that are required to be eligible to the program:
- One adult, one child: $49,945
- One adult, two children: $65,880
- One adult, three children: $79,500
- Two adults: $43,201
- Two adults, two children: $64,273
- Two adults, two children: $79,500
- Household of five $93,120
- Household of six: $106,740
- Household of seven: $120,360
- Household of eight: $133,980
Households of eight or more should add $14,160 for each extra person to determine if they’re qualified.
