Residents of El Monte, California, have only nine days left to sign up for a program that will give them $500 guaranteed every month for a year.

This program is for mothers living in the city, and 125 people will be chosen to take part. The city says that applications for the program started on March 27 and will be accepted until April 15.
A spokesperson from the city manager’s office told the Washington Examiner, “People who are chosen to take part in the program will be given a debit card.” “The city will put $500 guaranteed on the card every month.
People can pay for goods and services with it anywhere that takes debit cards. Participants will be taught how to use the bank card by the city.”
