The yearly cost-of-living-adjustment has raised to 7.7%. On standard, the Social Security paychecks will raise by $140 to $1,827, with the highest benefit rising to $4,555.

Boosted Social Security Check Will Drop This Week!

Paychecks will go out on the second, third, and fourth Wednesday of the month and will vary on the beneficiary’s birthdate. In this matter, the top check reflecting the cost-of-living-adjustment (COLA) raise will be out on Wednesday, 11th of January.

The excess paychecks sent out this month will be out on the 18th of January and 25th of January.

How To Apply for SSI?

If you plan to send an application for SSI, you can start applying and complete a huge part of the application on the website of SSA.

You can also ring toll-free at 1-800-772-1213 to request an appointment with a representative at Social Security.

Who Are Qualified for SSI?

Eligible SSI recipients will vary in income and assets.

To be eligible, a single person must have an asset lower than $2,000, while couples or married can have up to $3,000. Benefits for qualified children may be more as the majority of them do not have an income yet.

In July 2021, more than 7.8 million American citizens got their SSI benefits.
