A 41-Year-old Ax-Wielding Man Allegedly Robbed Indiana IHOP on Christmas Eve
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (TCD) — The police of Indiana arrested a 41-year-old man after he allegedly robbed an IHOP with his axe and a knife.
According to Fort Wayne Police, on Dec. 24 at around 12:54 p.m., the police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in progress at Coldwater Road in IHOP.
According to a published post by True Crime Daily, the officers were reportedly told at first that there is a man armed with an ax and sharp knife, who had the manager of IHOP at knifepoint and was robbing the restaurant. Police officers of Fort Wayne located the armed suspect and made it to the scene of the robbery.

Man Allegedly Robbed Indiana IHOP on Christmas Eve
The suspect identified as Ian Bazur Persing, run off on foot toward the nearby Petco. He was arrested by officers and was still allegedly armed with the knife and ax. According to the statement of authorities, police recovered all the money that was stolen, and returned it to IHOP.
WANE-TV reports that the suspect Bazur-Persing was allegedly involved in a past robbery at a local Walgreens and a Marathon gas station. Ian Bazar Persing now faces three preliminary charges of armed robbery.
