$300 Direct Payments in Delaware

States across the country are doing their best to support their struggling residents amidst the soaring inflation rate. In Delaware, an amount of $300 will be given as relief aid until Nov.30. This is also to support the residents in the rising cost of energy prices especially as the temperature begins to drop.

The Delaware Community Legal Aid Society, Inc. (CLASI) posted on its social media account “Did you get your one-time $300 Delaware Relief Rebate check yet? Check your status and apply online now through November 30, 2022 at de.gov/rebate. To be eligible, you must be a Delaware resident who was age 18 or older and living in the state on December 31, 2021.”

CLASI posted it on its social media account to remind the residents that they still have time to claim their $300. Meanwhile, the Relief Rebate Program in Delaware was created under House Bill 360, which is intended to support the eligible residents in the state who continue to struggle in facing higher prices on groceries and gas since the wake of the pandemic.

Governor John Carney Signed the Bill, Are You Eligible?

Delaware Governor John Carney signed the bill and posted on his social media account saying “I just signed bipartisan legislation that will send $300 in direct payments to Delaware taxpayers and adults to help with higher costs at the grocery store and the gas pump,” according to a published article in MARCA.

To be eligible for the $300 direct payments, the following are the requirements:

  • Must be a resident of the state of Delaware that is over 18 years old and have a Social Security number and a valid residential mailing address.
  • Needs to have an active driver’s license issued by the Delaware DMV before December 31, 2021 or submit any other document that meets verification standards.

Residents who meet the requirements can apply only, but everyone is reminded that a successful application does not guarantee that you will automatically receive the $300 direct payments.
