DeSantis Flanks Rivals As He Tacks Further Right Amid 2024 Speculation

Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida as he weighs a 2024 presidential bid is further tacking to the right, this is his strategy that could be the one to help him endear himself to the GOP’s conservative base and outflank his rivals including the former president of the United States, Donald Trump.

Ron DeSantis has already begun and carved out a reputation as a conventional firebrand but in recent days he build-up his rhetoric. This week, DeSantis summoned the state Supreme Court to assemble a grand jury to look into any wrongdoing that is concerning the development and promotion of COVID-19 vaccines.

According to a published post by The Hill, he was also against same-sex and interracial marriages that were recently signed into federal law to protect same-sex interracial marriages. The rightward march of DeSantis carries some risks from conservatives that could help him. If DeSantis winds up as the party’s nominee in a 2024 general election this risk will affect him.
