As the 2023 Tax Season started in January and the confusing rules by the IRS, many taxpayers are still confused about how to file their tax returns.

The IRS offers taxpayer advocate services called Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE). Abraham Quirós Villalba of tododisca said both programs are aimed at taxpayers who have an income less than or equal to $60,000, disabled, or have limited English proficiency.
The Taxpayer Advocate Service said VITA offers free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing. While TCE is offered for taxpayers who are 60 years old and above.

Bring all the required documents, including Form W-2 and Form 1099, and prepare to answer questions related to your taxes.
