The Wage and Income transcript shows information from documents that your employers provide to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
The tax transcript is used to verify your income and application for money loans, student loans, and mortgage loans. The transcript can also be useful if you need records from previous years.
How to Get a Transcript?
You can get the transcript online once you have successfully registered. You will be asked why you need it so the IRS can determine which type is best for you.
You can use the Get Transcript Online or order a tax return or tax account transcript through Get Transcript by Mail. You can also order your tax transcript by calling 800-908-9946.

How Much Time Will It Take to Get a Transcript?
The IRS official website states that taxpayers who file their returns electronically might have to wait two to four weeks for the transcript to become available. Taxpayers who filed through the mail might wait after six weeks. The IRS also added that those who did not pay all the taxes they owe might not get their transcripts until mid-May. But, once they fully paid all the taxes, the transcript is provided after one week.
