Mai Nguyen Do, Editor-in-Chief

Mai Nguyen Do is a Vietnamese American poet and editor. She is a College of the Canyons graduate and the author of Ghosts Still Walking (2016) and Battlefield Blooming (forthcoming, 2019).

Sebastian Cazares, Reporter (Politics & Government)

Sebastian Cazares is a lifelong Santa Clarita resident and student at College of the Canyons. He was heavily involved in Speech, Model UN, Rotary Club and journalism during his high school years. Sebastian is deeply interested in local politics and excited to report on the issues that impact his community.

Gisela Factora, Reporter (Politics & Government)

Gisela Factora is a New York-based journalist. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Santa Clarita, Gisela has been endlessly passionate about news and local politics since high school. In their spare time, Gisela enjoys making and watching live music, cooking with their pals and binge-watching Sex and the City.

Terry Nguyen, Reporter (Politics & Government)

Terry Nguyen is a reporter writing about policy and people in the Los Angeles area. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, The Lily and Brit+Co.

Brianna Bricker, Reporter (Community, Politics & Government)

Brianna Bricker is a third-generation Santa Clarita resident, a graduate of Academy of the Canyons and College of the Canyons and a current student of economics. She enjoys visiting local coffee shops and spending time with her cat, Appa.

Sean Malin, Reporter (Community)

Sean L. Malin is a cultural critic and producer based in Santa Clarita. His writing on food, comedy and cinema have appeared in LA Weekly, The Austin Chronicle, and Filmmaker Magazine. Follow him on Twitter: @cinemalins

Stephen Daniels, Publisher, Radio Free Santa Clarita President

Originally from Kentucky, Stephen Daniels moved to Santa Clarita in 1993 to obtain his Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Production at the California Institute of the Arts. He has several years of experience in community radio and has always enjoyed talking with and interviewing people of all types. Stephen and his wife, Karen, have a five-year old son, Ryan, as well as a very spoiled dog and cat.
