When the two struck plea deals, U.S. District Judge Charles R. Breyer authorized Ian Benjamin Rogers and Jarrod Copeland to fulfill their terms, according to federal authorities.
In May of last year, Rogers, 46, entered a plea of guilty to conspiracy and other federal firearms crimes. Copeland, 39, admitted confessed to the interference of justice and conspiracy in 2021.

They decided to “go to war” because they believed it would be better to ruin their political competitors’ headquarters than admit defeat and depend on the democratic system to achieve change, according to Hinds. The men stated in court records, as per a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, that they planned to damage the John L. Burton Democratic Headquarters in Sacramento after the 2020 presidential election.
