$1,050 Direct Payments

Millions of Americans rely on extra money from the federal government to meet their daily needs every day. Local officials from various states have different programs as well to ensure that their residents will have more money in their pockets amidst the increasing inflation rate.

Gov. Gavin Newsom announced that around 9 million Californians will receive an amount between $200 to $1,050 in direct payments in direct payments until January 2023. The state’s Franchise Tax Board (FTC) also announced that the first wave of direct payments was distributed in October.

As of this time, around 6,955,276 direct deposits have been issued and 3,592,026 debit cards have been mailed, according to a published article in The U.S. Sun. It is estimated that around 19 million Californians have benefited from this program.
