$1,000 Relief Payment: Deadline of Application Comes Near

A relief payment worth up to $1,000 can still be applied anytime and Americans still have time to apply.

Residents of New Mexico still have some time to send in their tax returns this year to claim the money. New Mexican residents still have until the end of May to submit their tax returns to qualify for relief payment.

A total of worth $20 million has been budgeted for relief payments, this will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve regular basis.

Those people will get their rebates through direct deposit if they already submitted their 2021 tax returns. If your banking information has changed since you filed, you will be getting a paper check.

New Mexicans have now until May 31, 2023, for them to send in their 2021 tax returns to still be qualified for the rebate.

ARE YOU QUALIFIED TO APPLY?

New Mexico is now distributing two tax rebates. The first rebate lets married couples filing joint returns, surviving spouses, and heads of household, with incomes below $150,000 receive $500.

Married individuals and single filers filing separately with an income below $75,000 will receive an amount of $250.

ANOTHER ROUND OF REBATES IS HERE

The second rebate will get a rebate worth $500 including single filers and married individuals filing individually. taxpayers who filed their 2021 personal income tax return get an automatic rebate.

Those people who have yet to file their 2021 New Mexico Personal Income Tax return and are still not claimed as a dependent on other taxpayers’ returns can still file their return through May.
