$1,000 Direct “Thank You” Payment Is Being Given Out To Teachers In 5 Days
The “thank you” payment will be given to the employees of Anne Arundel County Public Schools in 5 days as a generous gesture of admiration and respect. on Dec. 16. The payment will be gifted out to “all permanent employees” but sadly those who are on leave of absence will be exempted from the thank-you bonus and will not receive the said payment.
A letter was sent to AACPS staff, “No school system can be great without great people” was written by the superintendent of schools Dr. Mark Bedell Expressing their gratitude for giving thanks to teachers on the upcoming holiday by giving money in their award teachers for their hard work.
Direct Payment of $1000 Acknowledging Teachers’ Efforts
They acknowledged the hard work of teachers and the “very difficult circumstances”. The COVID-19 pandemic and rising inflation were a challenge to employees Badell spelled out that the bonus is sponsored by the AACPS Board of Education, furthermore, the school system doesn’t need extra funding to make up for the bonuses and will be given to the teachers without problems.
Badell also commended and thanked the teachers for their loyalty and mentioned that the shortage of public school teachers nationwide is growing rapidly through the pandemic.
